Managing Quantity Surveyor (North West)
Location: North West
Office/Site Based, with flexibility for occasional remote working
We are looking for an experienced and talented Managing Quantity Surveyor who has a wealth of knowledge in the main contracting market as well as experience managing and controlling the commercial aspects of a variety of projects within the North West business This position is office based, with flexibility for occasional remote working.

About the role:
You will be working within our Construction North West business, where you will:
Provide accurate financial reporting on individual projects
Collate, review financially and report on other projects within her/his remit
Supervise, support and advise direct reports
Place subcontracts in accordance with the main contract and Morgan Sindall policies and procedures
Advise other project surveyors of opportunities to maximise values and minimise costs.
Ensure direct reports follow the correct procedures
Provide Mentoring and assistance with the development of commercial team members
Provide assistance and support with commercial aspects of bids/tender opportunities
Ideally you will have:
Significant experience in the main contracting market with experience of working on Educational, commercial, Healthcare and Public buildings between £10 and £40 million.
Experience in running a portfolio of work
Experience of overseeing multiple schemes in PCSA
Experience of reviewing and negotiating Main Contract terms
What are we looking for?
As an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be used to working on your own initiative with knowledge of the procurement of sub-contractors and the monthly measurement cycle associated with, a BSc or HND (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent commercially related subject, and RICS Membership.
