About the Role

The successful candidate will be joining the existing team of passionate and dedicated commercial staff working within our Construction North East & Cumbria division.

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager who has a wealth of knowledge in all commercial aspects including the preparation and pricing of contracts, supporting the bid team and working with the design and delivery teams to ensure cost savings are successfully delivered.

Experience of working on Educational, Healthcare, Leisure or Defence schemes between £5 and £20 million is an advantage.

About You

As a Commercial Manager you will;

  • Provide commercial expertise to aid with the delivery of the contracted work to manage commercial risk and opportunity.
  • Develop, implement and manage commercial strategies.
  • Ensure all commercial reporting procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure all tenders have a commercial strategy in place and that commercial protocol is adhered to.
  • Partner with technical experts to provide regular commercial insight on the performance of supply chain organisations contracted to projects, enabling the project to make informed decisions about contract variation

Already experienced you will be educated to BSc in Quantity Surveying (or other equivalent commercially related discipline) and preferably be RICS or CIOB accredited. You will have a detailed knowledge of company management systems including; Commercial and financial (Commercial Manager /COINS/Sphere). You will also have proven experience of managing a team(s).
