What will I be doing as a Graduate Building Services Engineer?

As part of our 24-month graduate programme you will gain first class on-the-job experience in your role fully supported by line management and the wider network of skilled colleagues in the business. The graduate development programme provides key skills relevant to your technical discipline, personal development and professional body qualification.

A day as a Graduate Building Services Engineer can look like:

  • Assisting in the implementation of all measures necessary to ensure effective management of the design, installation and commissioning of Building Services on Morgan Sindall projects.
  • integrating into both design and project delivery teams working to identify potential risk and benefits to Morgan Sindall.
  • Providing an interface between MS, supply chain and the design team, ensuring that all required technical information is issued in a timeous manner to negate any delay to the design or construction programmes.

What we need from you

Reporting to the Building Services Lead of our Scotland Region, you will work in conjunction with a senior member of the Building Services team to manage the Building Services of a project from design through to installation ensuring they are installed on programme, commissioned, validated, demonstrated and all relevant documentation provided.

  • You will need to be able to provide or obtain the right to work in the UK.
  • You will need to be able to drive and provide or obtain a full UK Driving Licence.
  • You will be educated to SCQF Level 10 with knowledge and the relevant skills in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services or equivalent.
  • You’ll be focused on providing a professional, comprehensive, and sustainable building services support across key stakeholders
  • Desire to work towards professional chartership and demonstrate a foundational understanding of BIM.
  • Have a real passion for the industry and want to deliver exceptionally, the places where we live, learn, work, play, care and protect.
