HEADLINES:

EMPLOYMENT, TRAINING & SKILLS:

👷‍♂️ Created 31 new jobs.

👷‍♂️ Created 18 apprenticeships

👷‍♂️ 2 graduates working on the project

👷‍♂️ 1 Year-Out student on a paid placement, who returns to university this month and second Year Out student will join the team for one year

🏫 Provided work experience to nine Greenwich residents to date

👩‍🏫 2 people have been mentored to date

👩‍🏫 This month the two T-Level Students from LSEC returned to continue their 45-day industrial placement with the Woolwich Leisure Centre Site Management and Quantity Surveying teams

🏫 Supported 20 school/college/university engagement events.

💗 Invested 71 staff hours

👩‍🏫 Using the Knowledge Quad, we have delivered two rounds of CSCS card training, where ten Greenwich residents successfully obtained their CSCS card

🏢 The Knowledge Quad was used by LSEC for Quantity Surveying lessons until Friday 15th March.

🏢 On Monday 18th March, a 14-week accredited construction programme started for Greenwich NEETs using the Knowledge Quad and the vacant flats to carry out practical work experience. 11 young people (NEETs) completed the programme in June.

🏢 This month a second 14-weeks study programme commenced. 11 NEETs registered.

WIDER COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT:

  • Our Social Value team met with Pathway Group, a training provider to discuss delivering an employability bootcamp. It was agreed that once the 14-week study programme group is settled and days the Quad will be used by Mit Skills, Pathway Group could view the Knowledge Quad and plan the boot camp.
  • We met with Shooters Hill College on site this month, as the College is keen to use the void flats on site compound to hold their multi skills and painting and decorating classes.
  • Our Social Value team met with M.I.T Skills to finalise the 14-week study programme for NEETs.
  • On Monday 16th September we held a registration day for young people (NEETs).
  • M.I.T Skills are using the Knowledge Quad Monday to Wednesday along with two void flats for the study programme. 11 young people are on the programme.
  • This month the two T-Level students from LSEC restarted their 45-industrial placement on the Woolwich Leisure Centre, with the Site Management and Quantity Surveying teams.
