πŸ‘©β€πŸ« Using the Knowledge Quad, we have delivered two rounds of CSCS card training, where ten Greenwich residents successfully obtained their CSCS card

🏒 The Knowledge Quad was used by LSEC for Quantity Surveying lessons again.

🏒 Delivered a 14-week study programme from March to June 2024 to 11 Greenwich NEET young people.

🏒 Delivered a 14-week accredited construction apprenticeship programme to 11 Greenwich NEET young people.

🏒 The Knowledge Quad is being used by Shooters Hill for the Level 2 Multi Skills lessons.

🏒 Two rounds of CSCS card training to Greenwich NEETS using the Knowledge Quad in February and March; six young people obtained CSCS cards.

Snapshot of wider community engagement

  • Shooters Hill College started delivering their Level 2 Multi Skills lessons again, from Thursday 6th February. Shooters Hill College are using void flats too.
  • We invited SR Partnership who offer and deliver a range of construction courses to the construction workers.
  • LSEC are continuing to use our Knowledge Quad this month for the Quantity Surveying Lessons. This is their last month on site using the Quad as students have exams to prepare for.
  • This month, we arranged a meeting with the Stephen Lawrence Foundation and our partners (Hadron and FBA) to discuss the workshops. In partnership we will deliver three workshops from the Knowledge Quad on 8th May. Unheard Voices are reaching out to schools in the borough to take part in the workshops.
  • This month we support the annual GLLaB construction bootcamp. 17 Greenwich residents all keen to work in the industry, were given a site talk and tour of the Woolwich Leisure Centre site.
  • As part of GLLaB’s annual construction bootcamp we supported the Dragon’s Den activity for a third consecutive year.
  • 17 candidates formed four groups and presented their fictional construction business idea to the panel.
  • In this month delivered a site tour to 15 people at DB3 Architects, who were keen to see progressed development.
  • This month, CCS visited the Woolwich Leisure Centre team to interview / film the team including apprentices and Hadron. The film will be updated on the CCS good practise hub.
