WIDER COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Apprenticeship Steering Group meeting

On Wednesday 8th November, the Social Value team met with several partners including key stakeholders about apprenticeships and National Apprenticeship Week in February 2024.

Monica informed the meeting about the Knowledge Quad and upcoming CSCS card training courses being delivered from the Quad in November and December to Greenwich residents. Partners were encouraged to use the Quad.

Site visit for young resident

On Saturday 11th November, a mum and her young child walked over to Woolwich Leisure Centre project site to see the site in action. They were invited onto site where they were provided with PPE and Mike was on hand to answer all the question they had about this exciting new project. Morgan Sindall Construction teams are always happy to answer questions from members of the public.

  • In preparation for the upcoming CSCS card training to be delivered to Greenwich residents, Portland Training held a registration day in the Knowledge Quad. The first round of CSCS card training is being delivered on Monday 4th December. The Woolwich Leisure Centre team met with CACT (Charlton Athletic Community Trust), to discuss potential collaboration in the borough. We provided CACT with examples of ways we can support CACT and together we explored many ways to collaborate. We agreed to supporting an environmental project called Roots for Life. CACT will connect with the charity Roots for Life and organise a meet.
