Traffic Management

Construction sites can be dangerous. At Morgan Sindall our top priority is the health and safety of everyone who works on our sites, the public and the local community affected by our work.

All vehicles planning on entering our site will be issued with Inductions and information sheets in relation to delivery hours and will be allocated a specific loading or unloading time.

All delivery vehicles entering site during Phase 1 will enter and leave via Marchmount Avenue and will utilise the haul roads for offloading as below.

A competent traffic marshal will be on site to direct the delivery drivers to the delivery drop off areas. The vehicles will be offloaded with appropriate machinery within the allocated working areas.

Once the vehicle has been offloaded the traffic marshal will check to ensure the vehicle is safely loaded and secure before directing the driver out of site at the main gate leading to Marchmount Avenue.

No loading of vehicles will be completed outside of the site boundary. Vehicles will briefly wait at the site entrance whilst safety checks are conducted.

Delivery restrictions are in place during school start time (8.15am9.15am), school lunch period (1pm-2pm) and school finish time (3pm-4pm) to prioritise pupil safety and delivery times to avoid congestion at peak times.
