About the project
Dingwall Fire Station refurbishment will provide an upgrade of resting areas and dormitories to improve privacy and comfort for on-duty firefighters. New dignified facilities areas are also being introduced which will provide facilities to separate used kit from clean with areas to hang their dirty uniform. The upgrades will reduce unnecessary exposure to dirt and soot, bringing health and safety benefits to firefighters.
Working in the Dingwall community
Making a positive difference in the communities we work in is a vital part of our responsible business plan. Our Community Investment Group supports our project teams in the delivery of local community engagement projects. The Scotland Special Works team is part of the wider Scotland business unit, which operates out of two regional offices, the Inverness Office being associated with this project.
James Sutherland, site manager, is the dedicated community contact for theDingwall Fire Station project and will maintain communications with neighbours and the surrounding community. If you have any questions, please do get in touch with James via the contact form at the bottom of the page with any queries regarding the project.
As a business we are proud members of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, which has a Code of Considerate Practice designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements.
This page will provide a snapshot of activities we have been undertaking in the local community.
