Kyra Tanti from Pembrokeshire has secured a degree apprenticeship with Morgan Sindall Construction following her work experience placement with our Cardiff team.

Kyra’s success is a product of her excellent attitude and aspiration to learn whilst participating in the Cyfle Building Skills’ South West Wales Onsite Hub Programme. Kyra completed 10 days work experience on site at Pembroke Welsh Primary School where she learned about the different roles in construction. She gained experience working alongside and carrying out tasks with the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Design Manager and Site Managers and also met with the client.

Kyra is currently studying BTEC Level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment and attends college three days per week. She attended site on the 2 days she wasn’t in college over 5 weeks however she was keen to see the progress on site therefore she volunteered to attend additional days after completing the 10 days to her enhance learning.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my work experience with Morgan Sindall, I have learned so much from walking around site and listening to daily briefs. This experience has been extremely beneficial to me as I have been able to see what jobs and challenges project/site managers face. It has made me more sure on pursuing a career as a Project Manager.
