Morgan Sindall Construction has celebrated the outstanding work of their supply chain partners as part of their annual National Supply Chain Awards ceremony.
The event was a culmination of regional events held around the business throughout 2021. With the winners from each of the regional categories brought together for a celebratory event and for a national winner to be crowned in each of nine award categories.
The event recognised the supply chain’s important contribution to the continued success and performance of the business and was an opportunity for Morgan Sindall Construction’s senior management team to say ‘thank you’ to the supply chain partners in attendance for their support.
The awards event also reinforced the proactive steps Morgan Sindall Construction is taking, with the support of their supply chain and as part of the wider Morgan Sindall Group, to tackle the climate emergency. Following the start of COP26 earlier in the week, Pat Boyle, managing director for Morgan Sindall Construction, drew attention to the pressing climate issues faced by the construction industry and asked attendees for their continued collaboration to help identify and implement ways to decarbonise our communities.
The Supply Chain Awards ceremony was held at the Marriott Hotel in Leicester and was attended by over 150 people, including Morgan Sindall Construction’s senior management team. Famous stand-up comedian, author and broadcaster Dominic Holland, entertained guests as the evenings host.
The Morgan Sindall Construction team were thrilled to work with social enterprises as part of their awards ceremony too. The business commissioned a unique set of awards which were hand-crafted by The Wood Store, Brighton & Hove’s local Community Wood Recycling social enterprise, from wood recycled from construction projects in the area.
