Area Commercial Lead (Northen Home Counties Business)

Location: Welwyn Garden City and surrounding areas
Based in WGC hub office and visiting sites, with flexibility for occasional remote working

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lead to head up the function in our Northern Home Counties business. This role is based out of our WGC office and will require visiting presence on all live sites within the area. There is flexibility for occasional remote working.

About the role:

You will be working within our Construction Northern Home Counties business, where you will:

Provide commercial expertise to aid with the strategy and delivery of the business plan and area business objectives, by taking the commercial lead in a geographically focused team.

Undertake the role in accordance with the Morgan Sindall vision and values

Ideally you will have experience and the ability in:

Developing and executing a strategy aligned with the company's overall commercial objectives.

Varying sector experience on multiple types of project types and size

Leading and motivating a commercial team both on site and in Pre-construction.

Managing the P&L and ensure financial targets are met.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Overseeing the commercial operations of the Northern Home Counties Business

Experience working with a Tier 1 contractor

An appreciation of the markets in the geographical area (Bucks, Beds, Herts and North London Boroughs.)

What are we looking for?

As an experienced Commercial Lead, you will have a good understanding of construction techniques, frameworks and Customer needs

To be comfortable working within a wider senior leadership team and adopting a challenging yet unassuming and modest approach.

A HNC / Degree in commercial management or a similar sector related course, and/or RICS Membership.

You should also have strong knowledge of company management systems including commercial and financial (e.g. Commercial Manager /COINS/Sphere) as well as proven experience of managing a team across a variety of projects.
